Should I tape my fungo?
Brand new maple Easton Fungo MLF-3 Tape or no Tape on barrel? Yes? No? Why?
it “deadens” the ball off the bat a little, but for a fungo, it shouldn’t make any difference, you’re probably just going to hit soft toss flies and grounders with it anyway, and yeah, it does make it last longer–keeps it from splintering and cracking, especially if it gets wet then freezes (spring weather is a b**** sometimes).
