Fungo bat vs. driver?
My friend and i have a $200 bet. He says that he can hit a golf ball further with his driver than i can hit a golf ball with my fungo bat. He was a D1 college golfer and i am a D1 college baseball player. What do you think?
I think it will be closer than others think. Swing speed, club weight and sweet spot are paramount. Your swing speed should be around 90 mph but your bat weight helps. His should be around 120 mph. One problem I see is that he’s hitting a stationary ball and you would not be. thus, more difficult to hit the sweet spot. With that in mind you’ll lose the bet and hit the ball around 500-650 feet and he’ll hit it over 800 feet. My advice to you is to hit it down a road….
